Young Bloods Book Review

Young Bloods by Simon Scarrow is an amazing book about the lives of the 2 most famous Generals Napoleon and Wellington. The book starts of when both 2 men are born and grow up in two completely different places. Napoleon is poor and is just born after Corsica had been taken by the French is father plans to send him to France were he will grow up to become a soldiers as Napoleon dreams of being. Wellington is born fragile and almost close to death he is rushed to Dublin and is treated unlike Napoleon who grows up poor wellington is an aristocrat
And has all the money he desires. Young Bloods is an amazing book and talks about the strategies and ideas that these two Generals did and planned.

Simon Scarrow talks about these two peoples lives in very good detail and is able to map out the key concepts of what happened when the were alive. My favorite part in this book would be when Napoleon is in school in France and is asked to join in a snowball fight. Napoleon is selected leader of the team and manages to beat the other team in the snow ball game and because of this is given the scholarship to the military school he wants to go to. Simon Scarrow also mentions about key people in there lives and how want they did to wellington and Napoleon effected both there lives which makes the book very interesting to reed. There are 4 books in this series and all are linked together to span out there lives from there campaign in India to the loss at waterloo.

I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to ready the next part in Napoleons and Wellingtons conquest up the ranks and getting to were they were at the battle of waterloo. I have read one of Simon Scarrows books before and that is one of the main reasons I had decided to read this book.
ded to read this to. I really recomend this book it is a very good read and worth the money to buy it.

Chemical Reactivity Reflection

A.     3 things that I have learnt this unit are that everything around us is made of atoms but atoms are made of three particles Protons, Neutrons and Electrons. I also learned how find out information on the periodic table about the element like how many protons a single element atom is. He last thin I learnt is that the protons and electrons of a atom have to be the same or the atom will be unstable.

B.     3 things that I will always remember are the construction of atoms and how each Atom is made out of Protons Neutrons and Electrons, How to read information of the periodic table such as how many protons there are and the weight of a single atom and how many reaction can take place when to elements mix together.

C.     My favorite thing we did in this unit was when we had a look at the reaction between hydrochloric acid and magnesium and how they produce a flammable substance that can be popped with heat.

D.    I am curious about what kind of reactions take place with different substances but I am also curious about how the atoms are constructed in an element at the bottom of the periodic table like plutonium.

English Reflection

So far in class I have learned how to set up a blog and how to show my ideas and work by posts on my blog. I also learned how to discuss in class and how to make and interesting point on a paragraph or a quote that we read in class. Another thing I learned was how the way the passage is written can say a lot about the author and the way a person reacts to it can say a lot about the person.

I find the class and discussions very enjoyable and it helps me remember what we are talking about and the key points through the discussion. Mr Raisdana makes class very interesting and I like the way he teaches the class. He is a very nice teacher and I look forward to the rest of the year and finding out the class book we will be reading this year.

One thing I would like to change is if everyone takes part because so far the conversations can get a bit boring because only 4 or 5 people are taking part in the discussion. Apart from the I enjoy the way I am being taught and look forward to the rest of the year.
